It's here! I was surprised when I got the packaged today! From the posts of other bloggers who also got their firmoo eye wear, they got theirs in just 15 days! Well, I got mine for less than 15 days! I was surprised when I open our gate that a mailman was there and ask if the one the packaged is for is me. Yes, told him that's me. Why? He told me I got a packaged from China. I was hesitant because I thought the packaged I am expecting is coming from New York but then again the one that I e-mailed with has a Chinese Name so I just received the packaged.<br />
<br />
<br />
Hmm.. Maybe they have lots of branches and their branch in Asia is in China and it's near in the Philippines.<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white;">The mailman told me that I have to pay PHP 40 and signed the form. It's Ok. I thought I have to go to the postal office to get the packaged but it's delivered on our house, so it's Ok and I kind of expecting I still have to pay some charges in our postal office. </span><br />
<br />
<br />
Here's my loot!<br />

Here in the Philippines, we celebrate Father's Day on the third Sunday of June, and today June 17, 2012 is Father's Day! To all the Father's out there, Happy Dad's Day!<br />

I don't know why but I think I can count on my hand the number of times I told my Dad that I love him face to face. I Love my Dad very much but I can't or don't tell him much that I love him. Maybe, it's too mushy for moi? I'm not such a hugger or way too sweet on my family. I just show them that I care for them like cooking or taking care of them -- chimay in other words! <br />

So, on this very special day I would say it here, Papa, I Love You! :) I don't know why it is so hard to say it but I really, really do love you a lot. Thank you for taking care of us. You are the number one guy in my heart and would always be! Please stop smoking! It's bad for your health! :)<br />
<br />
Aside from my Dad, to my uncle's who has been a surrogate Father to me and my siblings, Thank You for loving and taking care of us. Happy Father's Day!<br />

I just shrug it off whenever I received a text message from binbit, whenever I load my mobile phone I usually received a message from bitbit, stating that I have I earned 2 credits and will be receiving a link to download contents. I just thought that it must be free. Then I found out that it's eating my load because when I tried to call or forward a load to my other phone I have insufficient balance and it just made me wonder that how come I suddenly have no balance when I just loaded and BOOM! It hit me that the culprit is binbit!!! <div><br />
</div><div>I found out that a lot of people from many countries has been victimized by the binbit scam.</div><div><div><br />
</div><div>This fake service will first lure you to to convert your ordinary mobile phone into an xray scanner, or if you play a game on some website then asked for your mobile number to get your score. User will unsuspectingly enter their mobile phone number out of curiosity, saying that they just want to try it since entering your mobile phone number is free.</div><div><br />
</div><div>And we gullible user/subscriber will enter their mobile number just to see what will happen out of curiosity. It's free anyway!</div><div><br />
</div><div>Well, that's what we thought at first. Until our load is deducted with 10 pesos per day, yes, ten pesos!!!</div><div><br />
</div><div>This scam has been become popular on many countries, and our country Philippines is one of the place where this crime is happening.</div></div><div><br />
</div><div>How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Philippines?</div><div><br />
</div><div>Just type STOP BIN then send to 2474. (Smart, TM, SUN and Globe)</div><div><br />
</div><div>Note:</div><div>*you must have atleast PHP 10.00 or below 10 to unsubscribe from binbit</div><div><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">*after sending it you would received a message <span style="color: #1a1a1a; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: none; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;"> "You are no longer subscribed to the CLUB BINBIT subscription service. This message is free. To subscribe again, text ON BIN to 2474 P10/day."</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #1a1a1a; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: none; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;"><br />
</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #1a1a1a; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: none; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">*</span></span>This method is for the Philippines only. If you didn't succeed the first time, just repeat until you receive a confirmation which usually takes up to 24 hours.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div><div>*If you happen to know how to unsubscribe to your own country, kindly share on the comment below.</div></div><div><br />
</div><div><div>They have this website but it offers no help at all, it's a total useless! Here's what they said when you are on their <a href="http://www.binbitcare.com/country/philippines/text/our-services/">final Unsubscribe page</a>:</div><div><br />
</div><div>How do I unsubscribe?</div><div><br />
</div><div>Even if incoming messages (texts) are erased from your mobile phone, the service will continue to be active and therefore the messages will be charged to you; should you want to unsubscribe this service, you must send an SMS with the STOP keyword to the same number you joined the service.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Do not hesitate to contact us during your subscription’s validity. We will gladly assist you.</div></div><div><br />
</div><div>That is so darn useless guys! Just follow the method that I did! Lesson learned from today, "Never ever give your mobile phone number to website or games on the net!" Don't be gullible like me! :) Think before you click! :)</div><div><br />

<br />
Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, who presides over the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' (CBCP) bible ministry, said church leaders had approached Pacquiao with the idea, but received no feedback from the 32-year-old fighter.<br />
<br />
"We asked him to partner with us in promoting the reading of the Bible among Catholics," David told reporters.<br />
<br />
"We told him: 'You would be a big help to us brother Manny', but he has not pledged his partnership yet."<br />
<br />
He said Pacquiao could follow the example of the Philippine-born National Football League star Tebow, a devout Christian dubbed by some in the press as "God's quarterback."<br />
<br />
"Tim Tebow became very popular by promoting the word of God," David said. "Some have referred to Manny Pacquiao as the Tim Tebow of the Philippines."<br />
<br />
Tebow, born in Manila in 1987 to a Baptist missionary couple, has emerged as America's hottest football star with his come-from-behind heroics for the Broncos.<br />
<br />
Tebow has been very vocal about his Christianity and recently pledged to help fund a $3 million hospital in the southern Philippines.<br />
<br />
Pacquiao is regarded as one of the greatest boxers in history, amassing a 54-3 win-loss record with two drawn bouts. He holds a record eight world titles in as many weight divisions.<br />
<br />
Pacquiao, who is also a politician and recently elected to the Philippines' lower house of parliament, often cites God as the source of his success, and wears a rosary around his neck before and after his fights.<br />
<br />
But the ultra-rich sportsman has not escaped intrigue, and reports of him womanising and gambling have become rich tabloid fodder.<br />
<br />
In an interview with Philippine TV station ABS-CBN this month, Pacquiao said he had recently renewed his faith and given up vices following an "encounter with God" during a dream.<br />
<br />
In the dream, Pacquiao said he found himself in a forest, where a bright light shone, believed to be God, asking the fighter why he was veering away from Him.<br />
<br />
"I woke up crying. I remember I was crying in my dream and when I touched my pillow, it was wet," he said.<br />
<br />
"If I had died last year or in the last two years, I'm sure I would have gone straight to hell. My faith in Him was there, 100 percent, but behind it, after prayers, I would still do evil things."<br />
<br />
Pacquiao said he now immersed himself in Bible study and spent more time when not in training with wife Jinkee and his four children, according to ABS-CBN.<br />
<br />
----------<br />
I don't know why they would think Manny Pacquiao would be suited for that position. Boxing is a form of gambling, right? So, why make him the bible ambassador? Or maybe the church would just like him to be their poster boy?<br />
<br />
I don't like to see actors, politicians and even TV hosts be seen on their charity works. If they are really doing it for charity then do it without making it into a news, do it even if there's no camera around. They are just making it all a sham!<br />
<br />
Every time that Manny Pacquiao is on the ring I admire him whenever he prays before and after the game BUT on this matter I simply do not agree for him to be the bible ambassador. He and the church would just muck it up. They should just both acknowledge that yes, Pacquiao is religious, he loves GOD and he believes in him but that should just stop there.<br />
<br />
If he is religious and he wants to change for the better then good for him. Just do it in silence and not on the limelight. It's just not too sincere if he does it in front of the camera.<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-12837177372343623892012-02-06T22:33:00.000+08:002012-02-14T22:35:05.032+08:00CORONA's Trial<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9C-eSoOuOImA6QnxlEMrKX9IdgNwEdz9EnCelgoz7ShH-E67_Cz-IGEL8__dMk-5K14AMe7pNGIOR_90zzW8_uyeaXKpwzQtehTtNfwlVA0U1MrVXHn96c7OUvJNRAFFCTDleN9ZX6Rw/s1600/cjt_masthead.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9C-eSoOuOImA6QnxlEMrKX9IdgNwEdz9EnCelgoz7ShH-E67_Cz-IGEL8__dMk-5K14AMe7pNGIOR_90zzW8_uyeaXKpwzQtehTtNfwlVA0U1MrVXHn96c7OUvJNRAFFCTDleN9ZX6Rw/s320/cjt_masthead.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>After a few days of watching the trial I got bored by it! The only time that made me awake was when Senator Santiago got mad at the prosecutors because they are not ready for the trial. After that it went dull again. Senator Miriam is one of my favorite senators because she is a strong woman and she would say whatever she like to say (and her pick up lines are the best! made me laugh). She did say she needs anger management and I hope she would learn to reel in her emotions because she has hypertension. Whenever I watch the trial, its not "who" would be the witness or what would happen today BUT the one thing that I would ask myself is -- is Senator Miriam Santiago in today? :) I just find the trial MORE interesting when she is there. :)<br />
<br />
I always wait for Senator Lapid's turn to question the witness. He asks simple questions and it made me think that it may sound simple to some people and laugh it off, BUT we should all be reminded that some people may also want to know what he is asking.<br />
<br />
This trial is too dragging! It's like I am watching a soap opera that has the same lines and it's just too much to take in! It's becoming more of a trial by publicity! After the trial, senators would be interviewed by reporters and highlights of the trial would be on the news. It's just that I am having enough of the trial.<br />
<br />
I think they should take a week off. Give the prosecutors more time to gather more evidences to acquit Chief Justice Corona, and most of all to study and be more prepared during the trial.<br />
<br />
That's it! I think I won't watch tomorrow.<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-90709787210470648972012-02-01T21:20:00.001+08:002012-02-14T21:41:38.740+08:00RED MOnth<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC8pCfPpjHlLfYSkgaI9N7f-SCpk8H63VSfDiGkNTvv-AePj91NH4X8MgvUfMPV0si0Xbl0Sq2WNn6ThJiWL6xAiwouRoDM7OrsSw-oB9HawvusvXRmL1QZ8lv2Y_2a-yDIrrvEFNaHpw/s1600/423191_3132075976648_1107217037_33314933_1130239872_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC8pCfPpjHlLfYSkgaI9N7f-SCpk8H63VSfDiGkNTvv-AePj91NH4X8MgvUfMPV0si0Xbl0Sq2WNn6ThJiWL6xAiwouRoDM7OrsSw-oB9HawvusvXRmL1QZ8lv2Y_2a-yDIrrvEFNaHpw/s1600/423191_3132075976648_1107217037_33314933_1130239872_n.jpg" /></a></div>What's the first thing that you would think of when the word February is uttered? Me, I think of red! Because when February comes, malls would be decked in red! Why is that? Well, Chinese New year would usually be celebrated on February (but this year it was celebrated last January 23rd) and Valentine's Day is the most famous day on February. Love is in the air, radios would play mushy songs and prices of flowers would be high! :)<br />
<div><br />
</div><div>To tell you the truth, I don't like the month of February, it's not because of Valentines day -- it's just that February is my birth month! And it only makes me remember that I'm not as young as I think I am! :)</div><div><br />
</div><div>When I was young I would always think that my aunts are way too queer to worry about age and not tell people how old they are. It's just number after all! BUT now, I understand perfectly how they felt! And this year I don't want to celebrate my birthday.. I am way too weird huh?!?</div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-53620998626469804622012-01-30T23:46:00.000+08:002012-02-11T23:56:50.543+08:00Must see Movie : THE VOW<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVgf_Yhk4iLhaeUO2lkh7WDusALsWvZMYbO2Jgeo1izSVorXw_KXAAgM8FzVD2LOCWsgYDgmTH7OQOf7q5t1X7j9Ep9yDkSIBsKwko-_SAWDFuIc8R6Fc_aUMT1BKIPAmwfxNUvotzPZw/s1600/220px-The_Vow_Poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVgf_Yhk4iLhaeUO2lkh7WDusALsWvZMYbO2Jgeo1izSVorXw_KXAAgM8FzVD2LOCWsgYDgmTH7OQOf7q5t1X7j9Ep9yDkSIBsKwko-_SAWDFuIc8R6Fc_aUMT1BKIPAmwfxNUvotzPZw/s320/220px-The_Vow_Poster.jpg" width="215" /></a></div>This coming February there's this movie that I'm really looking forward to watch with my siblings.<br />
<br />
<b>The Vow</b> is about a couple's relationship (who had been married for five years), put to a test when a car accident seriously injures Paige (Rachel McAdams) and places her in a coma. When she wakes up with severe memory loss, her husband Leo (Channing Tatum) works to win her heart again. However, despite his efforts to make his wife fall in love with him again, Paige doesn't recover her feelings for him. Leo's family and friends advise him to let go and move on with his life.<br />
<br />
During an interview on Live! with Kelly, McAdams revealed that the film is based on a real life couple, Kim and Krickitt Carpenter. The wife, Krickitt, never regained her memory, but the couple are still married and have two children.<br />

I really, really have a good vibes this year!<br />
<br />
Last year, at the beginning of the year I had my hair permed. This year, I just greeted the year with a smile. I instead stop abusing my hair (for now, no rebounding or perming or have it dyed!).<br />
<br />
The year started good for me, for starter, I have my own laptop! Yay! So, now I can focus my attention to blogging. But it went downhill from that. You must have noticed I don't post much anymore or blog hop it's because I have to babysit my nephew. His nanny won't be able to report to work in time so, it's up to me to take care of him. It's no issue because I would drop everything for my family and I love my niece and nephews to pieces and would do anything for them. So, for now, I won't be as active as I was last year-- there goes my hopes -- dashing it to pieces, my hopes of making my page rank higher. :(<br />
<br />
But no worries. I am sure I'll be able to get my goals on par when the nanny/baby sitter is here. :)<br />
<br />
So, note to self : just smile and don't be stress about it.<br />
<br />
2012, remember the movie 2012 where the world ends? Well, I hope it would not happened and that the Mayans would not be that precise on their prediction. I still would want to get married [sad to say I still haven't found my other half. If you have anyone who knows a good male specimen, a human, and have a good character. I'm OK with a few dates ;)], bear children, have a family of my own. But with these prediction looming over us, one would have to mapped out their life, do things crazy stuff and make life more eventful this year, because we are doomed!<br />
<br />
I leave it all to God. So, if anything happens, so be it! It's his will. We only live a borrowed time on this earth. BUT PLEASE, GOD, DON"T LET IT HAPPEN (that's what you can hear screaming in my head) :) I am still young! :)<br />
<br />
So, I am sure you are all with me. WELCOME 2012! Let's do crazy stuff this year! ;) hmmmm maybe I would ride a hot air balloon this Feb ;) Now, that is crazy and exciting! ;)<br />

I always feel these way when a fellow Filipino would be sentenced to jail or death in other country because they made the wrong choice, done illegal thing or broke the law in a foreign country. I always empathized with our OFW's. I simply look up to them. Life outside of our country is not a picnic in the park. Some says that its a bad luck so better be careful on that day. Anyways, old people have these beliefs and we the younger generation just took it in stride. We even have movies pertaining on that day, and people die on that day.<br />
<br />
I don't really believe in superstitions but I grew up in an environment that there are some things that you have simply to follow. I have no choice there, I am still young and the elders should be followed, and that being is my grandma. :)<br />
<br />
A year ago my younger sister and her boyfriend took a vacation leave and went to our province but on the day that they we're supposed to go to Caramoan Island, Camarines Sur, our Mom forbid the to go out and guess what is the reason? Yes, it's because it's Friday the 13th! When I heard about it, yes, cruel me, I laughed at her. But if I were her I can't do nothing about it because even if I am old already I still have to follow my parents. It's just simply a sign of respect. So, my sis just reschedule their trip for another month and which does not have Friday the 13th! So, lesson learned, Don't go out on Friday the 13th or if you want to don't tell Mom!<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-57437790731640574072012-01-12T21:50:00.004+08:002012-01-24T22:18:37.561+08:00Let's have a look on Megan Fox New ad<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">"Transformers" star Megan Fox is the latest Hollywood celeb appearing in a foreign commercial wherein she </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">puts her her sex appeal to work in this Brazilian foreign-language school CCAA. The ad is about a pair of teenage boys that were wash up on a remote island after a plane crash. They were greeted by Ms. fox and welcome them to "Megan Fox Island, and the whole island is full Megan Fox clones. It's every boy's dream, but the teens does not know how to speak in English thus cannot communicate with Megan. Megan sent them back to the sea and then turned up to another Island -- "Mike Tyson Island", and there's also various clones of Mike Tyson and the Island is not as nice as the previous one.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">So, what better way for young Brazilian boys to learn English but on this school. :)</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/erBuKFX2wd8?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">When I stumbled upon this video I find it funny, but I have to admit the ad is good.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Everyone should know English. I don't want to imposed on other people but yes, we should learn it so that we can be able to communicate with other different nation. Yes, one should love their own language but we have to be open minded that there are other races out there and if we go out and maybe go to other country, in order to communicate we have to know or have a good grasp of the English language.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Here in the Philippines, as early as grade school/primary level, English is taught. So, It's more fun here in the Philippines! Because anyone in the Philippines have the basic knowledge of the English knowledge, no communication barrel or whatsoever with the foreigners who would want to take a vacation here.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">So, kudos to the ad! I like it :)</span></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-74298043732753738192012-01-11T23:44:00.002+08:002012-01-11T23:54:13.423+08:00A Mother's Story<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />

The film deals with what OFW's go through in the United States. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Plot:</span><br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-top: 0.4em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Medy (Pokwang), a make-up artist, was given the chance of a lifetime to accompany a concert star to the United States for a performance. She promised her family that she will return after a week. However, while in America, she stumbled upon a former classmate Helen (Beth Tamayo) who convinced her to stay for good in the land of milk and honey. She initially refused, but eventually gave in, when she got a call one night from her husband that they need a big amount of money to bring her youngest daughter to the hospital. America has not been the friendliest to her and our story begins with her coming home to Manila literally with nothing.</span></div><div style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-top: 0.4em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div><div style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-top: 0.4em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Medy’s two kids, King (Rayver Cruz) and Queenie (Xyriel Manabat) are now 19 and 7. King struggles with the return of his mother. Animosity, resentment, shame, and anger are issues he has built with Medy. For the young Queenie, it’s getting to know the mother, who she thought would one day come out of a Balikbayan Box. And as for her husband, Medy discovers something she least expected.</span></div><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">When I watched the trailer I was convinced to watch it because I find the story moving. A lot of our OFW's goes trough a lot of hell just to provide financial freedom to their families in the Philippines. The movie makes the life out of the OFW's so real and maybe by watching the movie our kababayan's would have an ample idea that living in the States is not a picnic out in the park but nutty. </span><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-76986159289655572102012-01-11T22:10:00.006+08:002012-01-11T22:31:14.711+08:00Sad news :(Yesterday, I heard a news that is so tragic.<br />
<div><br />
</div><div>Every time we listen to the news every other day or just simply reading the newspaper, the content of that is just nothing to us. We would know or have a fair idea on what is the news all about, what happened and the names of the people involved. But if YOU know of someone that is on the news, then it would be different because you know that person and you just can't get enough of the news. You simply have to know all the facts, what happened and how did it happened.</div><div><br />
</div><div>This is the news that simply left me baffled and until now I am waiting of what will happen.</div><div><br />
</div><div><a href="http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/global-filipino/01/11/12/3-pinoys-nabbed-smuggling-military-weapons-us">http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/global-filipino/01/11/12/3-pinoys-nabbed-smuggling-military-weapons-us</a> </div><div><br />
</div><div><a href="http://www.philippinenews.com/latest-news/5412-3-pinoys-arrested-for-smuggling-grenade-launchers-ak-47-riffles.html?tmpl=component&layout=default&page=">http://www.philippinenews.com/latest-news/5412-3-pinoys-arrested-for-smuggling-grenade-launchers-ak-47-riffles.html?tmpl=component&layout=default&page=</a> </div><div><br />
</div><div>I know one of them and one thing that entered my mind was -- what was he thinking of ?!? Was he thinking at all? I don't blame some of our kababayan's to be mad at them. It was just sheer stupidity -- but forget about the shame they gave to us and to their family. I just felt pity--their life would be wasted if they really are guilty. My heart simply went out to his mom and family. It was just so sad. Don't you feel it? I felt it.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Please, my fellow blogger/s, I know that what they did is wrong and yes, brought shame to us all, but we are all humans, we make mistakes. Can we just be more compassionate to our fellow Pinoy? Let's not judge them too harshly. </div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-80781059857025260642012-01-11T21:10:00.003+08:002012-01-12T00:03:03.337+08:00Movie review of ENTENG ng Ina mo<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfa18DLjV5wNjzJGsezz1B7qEbBFiJnrY7LlYNABuw7dfAU3ZR80cKCS9K4kqmo_J7r-bSjlOOAXF1bGVv7GDkFH6EXkIpQesaYcaRA00qVNs4XdEl1aym9YgIetOIR4PLEJjVYzol1DE/s1600/220px-Enteng_Ng_Ina_Mo_poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfa18DLjV5wNjzJGsezz1B7qEbBFiJnrY7LlYNABuw7dfAU3ZR80cKCS9K4kqmo_J7r-bSjlOOAXF1bGVv7GDkFH6EXkIpQesaYcaRA00qVNs4XdEl1aym9YgIetOIR4PLEJjVYzol1DE/s320/220px-Enteng_Ng_Ina_Mo_poster.jpg" width="220" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
With all the entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival, my sister wanted to watch Enteng ng Ina mo (I was rooting to watch Segunda Mano. I want to watch horror flicks. But yes, she has a point that most horror films here are not that scary, so I we just watched ENTENG NG INA MO).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzcsMxmh8Z4s-wFLPKasYFqXUb-MYaEwbL0raCDFhzkT8ww4Hix0CMcGO-kEJrx7lamAWvFUGhN5EHbcHZdrwODlMAqezrvPAmnrjpBj2tov2H-qgGdvxrh6em0gGJx7M4FIo_dQ6KYyo/s1600/EntengngInaMo_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="110" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzcsMxmh8Z4s-wFLPKasYFqXUb-MYaEwbL0raCDFhzkT8ww4Hix0CMcGO-kEJrx7lamAWvFUGhN5EHbcHZdrwODlMAqezrvPAmnrjpBj2tov2H-qgGdvxrh6em0gGJx7M4FIo_dQ6KYyo/s200/EntengngInaMo_2.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div>It was a 2 hour bus ride from our house just to watched that movie! We we're spending the holidays in our province. So, from our house we would ride a tricycle then ride a bus bound to Naga City. I never watched Enteng Kabisote Series (EK has four movies) but watched all Tanging Ina Series (has three movies). The trailer did not really made me or urged me to watch it the first day it was shown in the movie house. I am not expecting much from the movie but I've read and heard great reviews of the movie so, I just went along with my sis. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="http://2.gvt0.com/vi/b_5OhzgqCKI/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/b_5OhzgqCKI&fs=1&source=uds" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/b_5OhzgqCKI&fs=1&source=uds" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object></div><br />
</div><div><br />
</div><div>At the end... the movie was not that great. I find it tasteless. Yes, there are some parts that I laughed but the movie did not left a great impression on me. The movie is nice since it was starred by two big icon's in the movie industry but at the end I just find it too plain. It's just another movie that made me say, Okay I watched it, BUT watching it once is enough. When would there be another movie, a tagalog/Filipino movie that would pull my heart strings and would make me watched the movie again and again? </div><div><br />
</div><div>So, that's it, peepz! I don't know if you watched it already, and if we have different opinions -- let's just respect it. I'm just sharing what I thought of the movie ;)</div><div><br />

You have no idea that being a blogger, it's really a must to have their own PC or lappy or a netbook. It just give us much more ease in typing our piece ;)<br />
<br />

Miss you much! mwaaah!<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-59343606013898564102011-10-19T14:09:00.000+08:002011-10-19T14:09:21.398+08:00The Kitchen Musical<span style="font-family: inherit;"> </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">I missed to watch </span><a href="http://youtu.be/Kxz3Up4diDg"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Kitchen Musical</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;"> last Saturday and was disappointed that I forgot about it. The series piqued my interest because we have some Filipino talents on that show and I'm curious about the </span><a href="http://youtu.be/GeJSMc3Nz8o"><span style="font-family: inherit;">plot story</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">, would it be like GLEE (which I don't really follow that much because I don't like the lead character. I find her singing and acting OA) or would it be way different, how they would execute their singing and dancing while they cook etc. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">And I love food and a romantic at heart so maybe I'd learn to like the series since the episodes is quite telling what the story is all about -- heck the title is almost spelled it out to you , that the drama would revolved around the kitchen so we might expect some music, dance, and drama in this story. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I almost, almost blame it to high school musical because after their successful movies all kinds of musical TV series are sprouting. So, yeah, we should stop comparing this series to GLEE since this is way different from GLEE. :) GLEE did not start it all this rage of having a TV series that have some musical numbers on them. Blame it to high school musical. But I really, really fell in love with all the songs in HS musical so for those TV series who would have that kind of thingy I would still give them a chance to show what they got. Anyways, I'm not a GLEE fanatic. :)</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Back to KM..</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The plot of the story is about a rich young girl who goes to work at her father's famous restaurant The Avilon after graduating from the culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.</span><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Characters:</span></strong><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Karylle as Maddie Avilon, a fresh graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. She lands a job as the sous chef in her father's restaurant. She struggles to show her individuality and creativity in the hands of the head chef.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Stephen Rahman Hughes as Alex Marcus, the executive chef of The Avilon, known for his notoriety for perfection.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Christian Bautista as Daniel Ray, a supportive childhood friend of Maddie and the other sous chef of the restaurant.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Arthur Acuña as Harry Shaw, the general manager of The Avilon. He keeps secrets from Maddie on her father's motives for letting her work in the restaurant.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Rosemary Vandenbroucke as Selena Argon, the sommelier of The Avilon who will do everything to get what she wants. She has a deep desire to get rid of Maddie and win Alex's heart.</span><br />

<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">Debra Teng as Leslie - Head Waitress</span></li>
</ul><span style="font-family: inherit;">I was able to watch the first episode at YouTube. The plot was not that exciting but then again it's just the first episode and we should support this since it's an Asian show and we have Karylle And Christian in this show. :)</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"> I heard that the 13 one-hour long episodes are done already and the second season of the series is already in the process.</span><br />

I was busy with inane things. I was one of the viewers who went to the cinema when it was on its first week. I watched it with my younger sister, cousin and the yaya of my nephew and we watched it at the last full show of the day. It was Friday and it was free seating at that time. When we were in line we we're told that it was a standing room already 'coz the house is full but we went in nevertheless. We are there already so we just opted to sit at the stairs. It was a first for me :) <br />
<br />
Why did we watched it? Well, I love Anne Curtis! I think she is such a nice person and so would want to support her and the plot made me curious. Anne Curtis, played the role of the other woman on this film. <br />
<br />
The film is a tale of a man's journey towards building a career and a family that he can competently provide for, but along the way, his ambition and reputation are tarnished by a single adulterous act. So, it mainly focus Derek's role in this film as the man who sinned and why he did it. <br />
<br />
As of this posting, No Other Woman, breaks record and breached the P210 million mark in two weeks and still raking in at the box-office to be the number one. And I think it was worth it watching it. ^___^<br />
<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">I think everyone can relate to the story. In every marriage, one would really be tempted to taste a bit of a sin. Why? We are human after all. We are weak and we are all a sinners. The Husband, the wife and the other woman role fits perfectly and I think all of them made the film a success with the way they act their role!</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/WF-PUiKSn54?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">I don't want to be a spoiler so I would not say anything on what happened or the plot of the story. I highly recommend that you should watch it. Kudos to the director! The movie was quite good. :)</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-55001592622204687892011-10-13T11:19:00.000+08:002011-10-13T11:19:15.116+08:00Nars LifeWhen you see a nurse what do you think of them? An angel that God made to make your relatives life comfortable and someone that would take care of them? Or just another human that are paid to take care of you or your relative? A slave? Or just someone doing their task/job?<br />
<br />
They would appear to you in a white uniform or scrub..our uniform pertains that we are there to do our job with honor. But you see, all of that is a sham. Life in a hospital is crap. Yes, it's a thankless job and we may be fulfilled that at the end of the day we help someones lives or save a life. But imagine, we are there amidst with all the sufferings and it takes a toll in our hearts and souls. It sucks the happiness out of our system. <br />
<br />
Yes, we are there to do our Job and as we pledge in our profession that we would save lives but we ALL are not that prepared that life in a hospital is pure chaos. :)<br />
<br />
Before you yell at your nurse because they did not bring your medicine on time or you need to go to the bathroom or need your medications you should think first that you are not the only patient in this world. He/she may have a lot of patients on her shift. He/she is doing all he/she can do and do his/her task and some of them are not paid at all or his/her salary is not that enough. So, before you talk think first.<br />
<br />
_______<br />
<br />
In months time there would be another new batches of nurses and yes they would be unemployed..ahhh another batches of beguiled human beings. We should have read a nurses guide after PASSING the BOARD. <br />
<br />
Choices to be filled: Call center agent, caregiver, nursing assistant, bank teller, trainee, volunteer!!!<br />
<br />
Reality bites big time and yes, I'm one of them. Another gullible soul. I tried to be a volunteer but it really was not made for me. I'm not tailored for it. Imagine having 30 patients per day and deaths. Found out I can't handle deaths. Had a patients that I just looked at him, a three month old infant and he died. :( and to top it off was working with no pay! I realized I can never ever be a martyr! <br />
<br />
And I talked back. My Mom was mad at me after telling her that I told someone that if she can't wait then go to a private hospital if she preferred a VIP treatment. Well, I was at the OPD at that time and there was this elegantly dressed lady and asked if they would be first in line because her helper's child vomited a live worm day before and was injected with a medicine yesterday at the ER and was told to go to the OPD and have a doctor see the child. The child was not with them but would just want the doctor to give them a medicine. I told them that the child needs to be seen so that the doctor can further asses what proper medicine would be best for the child. She the told me off to STOP speaking in tagalog because I'm in the province and just say it in the local dialect. Well, it made me MAD, I instead speak in English because she was talking to me in English when telling me to talk to her in our dialect. It was a proper thing to do after all, right? (I was brought up that if someone speaks in English the respond in English) Told her that I was used talking in Tagalog and said that she would have to wait for her number to be called. Her Doctor friend is not there and I don't know what medicine would be given since the child needs to be seen and if she needs to be treated like a VIP then she needs to go to a private hospital since we are in a government hospital so ALL would be treated equally.<br />
<br />
Well, it was hilarious now remembering that but it just made the bitch in me to go out. If she were nicer I could have put her first in line because patients have no idea what is their number ;) <br />
<br />
So, Please peepz, be nice to your health care provider! :)<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-36862840122164704022011-10-13T10:37:00.001+08:002011-10-13T10:38:46.510+08:00Pnoy decide no state burial for MarcosPresident Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III has spoken: there will be no <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318402414_3"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318403048_3">state honors</span></span> for former <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318402414_0"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318403048_0">president Ferdinand Marcos</span></span> despite recommendations from <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318402414_1"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318403048_1">Vice President Jejomar Binay</span></span>.<br />

"With regards to the <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318402414_5"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1318403048_6">Marcos burial</span></span>, you know, in all honesty—and I think I will have to communicate this to the Vice President, I apologize, he’s been doing the study on my behalf; he had a recommendation--and it was recently called to my attention again, we have so many victims of the Martial Law years, who have not gotten even a recognition formally from this government, from our government and they were victims," Aquino said.<br />
Meanwhile, Binay said he is respecting the President's decision.<br />
<br />
"It is the prerogative of the President and we must all accept, respect and support his decision," said Binay in a separate statement.<br />
<br />
_________<br />
<br />
Me Thinks...<br />
<br />
President Aquino should have just agreed with what Vice President Binay's recommendation. Yes, Former President Marcos did a lot of things that are against our Laws and Norms so I totally agreed that he should not be buried in "Libingan ng mga Bayani" (National Heroes Cemetery). A lot of the citizen would rally about that and some of the victims during his regime would not find it right. I think he would rest in peace if he is buried in Ilocos Norte wherein his people still believes in him and loves him there. That would be alright.<br />
<br />
But he should at least be given military honors since he is a Former President. He should be given honors and respect as a former President of our country. He may have appear as a monster to some Filipino but we should also look at the facts that during his reign he made the Philippines known throughout the world. His projects are brilliant and until now some of the bridges, building and roads are still being in use because all the materials are quite good and "hindi minadali at tinipid!"<br />
<br />
Remember Former Defense Secretary Angelo Reyes burial issues? He was buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani and was buried with military honors. He committed suicide because of the controversy he was buried up into his neck of the rampant corruption in the AFP. He should not have been buried in that cemetery because he died with questionable honor if he is guilty or not. It just made all that act hilarious and made all our national heroes be buried with a corrupt official. <br />
<br />
I know that with power there would be a lot of temptations and one might be corrupted and Former President Marcos succumb to that and so made a lot of things that made him so hateful. Such a pity! All that brilliance gone to waste!<br />
<br />
I know I don't have a lot of say on this matter since I'm just a lowly citizen and all decisions on that matter rest to our President but he should have just say so at the beginning that this is his decision on Marcos burial. He only made Binay make those recommendations so that he won't be accused as biased. But then again all of this are all pure politics! But with all of this matter it also made it so showbiz!<br />
<br />
Politicians should just have been direct to the point! State some facts! "yun wala nang paligoy ligoy pa!" Be firm on their decisions and live with it. <br />
<br />
Just adding my two cents on this issue ^_______^<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-40410088910877157292011-10-05T13:53:00.003+08:002011-10-05T14:07:11.197+08:00Happy Teacher's Day<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLP-YkqQGkt5hx-QXk8v2fzA5Ec0g2wMmSve0kw9wjP0k_srOukA7FmluX748B5unNfmaX9E5ErGhx4hY1aEqZ-nGZAerseJRFXhwWlF_Jc4o5vXhC0MApBzIrCN4Dikp5vTbHMc3cRUI/s1600/htd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" kca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLP-YkqQGkt5hx-QXk8v2fzA5Ec0g2wMmSve0kw9wjP0k_srOukA7FmluX748B5unNfmaX9E5ErGhx4hY1aEqZ-nGZAerseJRFXhwWlF_Jc4o5vXhC0MApBzIrCN4Dikp5vTbHMc3cRUI/s320/htd.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>It's the time of the year again wherein we give tributes to our teachers! <strong>Happy Teacher's Day!</strong> :)<br />

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">By Presidential Proclamation No. 479 to honor more than 500,000 teachers nationwide. However, in the Philippines Teachers' Day is actually celebrated in schools between the months of September and October (mainly elementary and secondary levels). Teachers are presented with orchid corsages by students. Groups of students representing various grade levels perform short skits or song and dance numbers, or read poetry for their teachers in front of fellow schoolmates in school-wide activities. These activities are planned by senior students in the Student Council who coordinate the activities well in advance.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

September 28 was chosen because it is known as the birthday of famous Chinese philosopher Confucius. </div><br />

That's a big word in our household. My Paternal Grandmother and Grandfather are both an educator/teacher, my mother is a teacher and one of my sister is also now a teacher. :) Education, at an early age it was ingrained in us to do good in school, respect your teacher and have fun. And as a fourth child there are some expectations that I would also be as bright as my elder sisters and of course it would bring shame on the family if I failed even one subject. :)<br />

I missed it! :) yes, even cramming for exam! Now if we have meet ups one of the topics would be our time in school and of course which teachers you like and hate! :) Hate is such a strong word so I'd just use the word dislike. We have a teacher that we totally avoid sitting at the front because we don't want to have spit on our face, a cry baby teacher (yes, during my junior year we have a teacher that cried because some of my classmates were very unruly and noisy. She's a newbie so I guess it would be stressful for her but unlucky her we were teenagers that time so some are quite rebellious), a teacher that gives chips for a recitation and those chips would be counted as your participation in class a.k.a your recitation, boring teacher ( a teacher who would make you so sleepy), cool teacher (open notes during exam!)</div></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5purv3JuyrM10okWU3ibzODBpzgiLvt4bG7R0K_CqEOENaywi_t8TWlai-6wvI35DbtRGxjqjCCI9dc7jNPxTdMbu131DFMx132N336G8VgOyi0nKLOhntnGsGoUCF97TgY9wAURvIyQ/s1600/TeachersHaveClass.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; height: 145px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; width: 172px;"><img border="0" height="200" kca="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5purv3JuyrM10okWU3ibzODBpzgiLvt4bG7R0K_CqEOENaywi_t8TWlai-6wvI35DbtRGxjqjCCI9dc7jNPxTdMbu131DFMx132N336G8VgOyi0nKLOhntnGsGoUCF97TgY9wAURvIyQ/s200/TeachersHaveClass.jpg" width="175" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Today, I am reminiscing my school days and made me wonder how my old teachers are doing now. Storms doesn't scare me that much since our country have been visited by lots of storm every year but yesterday I was scared. Typhoon Pedring or Typhoon Nesat made a very very lasting impression on moi.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5TmAKv3uaoy2g0quL7hbn3IDDX6sNiypkqL6QIrbBP159nWB4vpjR6qwDIQtSitPjH87M844WCsma7tYDUvwrf6SHSYw98kavrpM6J5FHT-5xynu-5m2MvwmJgorx0gfnKP6zmqqUsb4/s1600/nesat1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5TmAKv3uaoy2g0quL7hbn3IDDX6sNiypkqL6QIrbBP159nWB4vpjR6qwDIQtSitPjH87M844WCsma7tYDUvwrf6SHSYw98kavrpM6J5FHT-5xynu-5m2MvwmJgorx0gfnKP6zmqqUsb4/s320/nesat1.jpg" width="320" /></a>The typhoon is different from the previous storms we had. It's not like Ondoy. Pedring may not have brought with him heavy rains but with a storm that is so windy fazed me. It made me worry of flying rooftops and yes, it did happened! Our neighbor's rooftop was blown into our backyard. It almost made me go to our neighbor's tenant and tell them that part of their rooftop was in our backyard and tell them that they have been told to put stones on top of it but they did not it hence some part of it was flown into our lawn which is very dangerous at this time! (Our neighbor's house old house was demolished because they want to build a new house. So, for the mean time they have a caretaker watching over their land. And what scares me was that there was lots of debris that will get blown when the storm hit us. And what do you know? it did happened!) What if it hit something? Like our windows or worse one of us might be hit? But I restrain myself. I don't want to be bitchy at a time wherein weather is so bad.<br />
<br />
With the storm and all, nothing would drive you crazy with kids that are bored! :))<br />
<br />
My nephews, are a rowdy kind :) One whine that he's so bored and nothing to do while the other wants to watch his fave show but we have no cable and Internet connection! Thank God our electricity and water was not cut! :) To make them busy they played all day with their toys. While we adults just chat and sleep! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj5W3WpC63YrI3lxnSMCJ_smMS2YPPBMB58xBaziwr3PMUhb25UZZMHs5PeI7fr0wEh4W5n1KqvXp-ozhOFWRlZDB2qO_G1S4pPgiXDQBaHnwzxriSm3Ia32piJ7mj1q4-zZ-OlxGI6K0/s1600/collapsed+billboard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj5W3WpC63YrI3lxnSMCJ_smMS2YPPBMB58xBaziwr3PMUhb25UZZMHs5PeI7fr0wEh4W5n1KqvXp-ozhOFWRlZDB2qO_G1S4pPgiXDQBaHnwzxriSm3Ia32piJ7mj1q4-zZ-OlxGI6K0/s200/collapsed+billboard.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>A Billboard was blown off during the storm along Buendia-Mayapis Highway.<br />
<br />
Typhoon Pedring I think was just another wake up call for us to take care of our environment. We as steward should start taking care of our environment, stop throwing garbage and start planting trees!<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-36520003495669202102011-09-14T08:55:00.002+08:002011-09-14T09:11:04.843+08:00Shamcey may not have won the crown but she's still the winner for me<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmbgB7yukFh2O9jIPw3_jXnbRJU1wqpEGbOvZ52YaHuSSKyki6WzUFW0JGvcNePnFVYMMys-zozAFS-o1AXJ4bOaGg728ZXdi8gtnVg23fe0eq4Ygm4MidJqmHBuf72yEFdCtv9adPQdg/s1600/3rd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="204" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmbgB7yukFh2O9jIPw3_jXnbRJU1wqpEGbOvZ52YaHuSSKyki6WzUFW0JGvcNePnFVYMMys-zozAFS-o1AXJ4bOaGg728ZXdi8gtnVg23fe0eq4Ygm4MidJqmHBuf72yEFdCtv9adPQdg/s320/3rd.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Miss Shamcey Supsup, the Filipino's bet for the Miss Universe 2011 was the 3rd runner-up winner! Congratulations, Shamcey! You made us all proud!<br />
<br />
Some of our citizens were indignant that she should have been the winner or the 1st runner-up because she's the only one who did not need an interpreter during the Q and A. Thus, she answered the questions without having the luxury like her other contender to think a few seconds while their interpreter rely the question on their own tongue. While others think that Ms. Lea Salonga's question were asked a hundred of times already in beauty pageants. So, thought that Miss Angola's answering the question beautifully is not that tough.<br />
<br />
We should just be happy about the result! We should stop thinking that it's not fair that we could have won the crown. Anyway it's done already and we can't really do nothing about it. Just let it go. Being a 3rd runner-up is an honor. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_A1vAOgXmrIT6ycd5QscCsiWFIp2IHiUL39ukJvGV6-k6CVuV3jREykxaEUJ9rggTlSpAsvCasO3tZsJ2jY3GD7N6gcivPV7HP5farEvFx0E6hJ1amu7E0umtawSI0HndyiLQPWrqCPk/s1600/miss+angola.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_A1vAOgXmrIT6ycd5QscCsiWFIp2IHiUL39ukJvGV6-k6CVuV3jREykxaEUJ9rggTlSpAsvCasO3tZsJ2jY3GD7N6gcivPV7HP5farEvFx0E6hJ1amu7E0umtawSI0HndyiLQPWrqCPk/s320/miss+angola.jpg" width="255" /></a></div>We should just be happy for Miss Angola. Her People must be jubilant about it. After she won I was curious where it is. I never heard about it. Angola is in Africa and we all know the situation in Africa. Winning the crown would boost her people's pride and maybe their economy..I think a lot of people were like me wondering where is Angola and made them curious of the people there. Congrats, Miss Angola for winning the crown! :)<br />
<br />
Yes, the question might be a asked a thousand times but YOU were not the contestant, YOU were not the one on stage answering the question so just put a lid on it! I am satisfied with Miss Angola's answer and she did it beautifully.<br />
<br />
Let's just be happy about the result and get over it. Miss Supsup is a winner! While waiting for the result I was happy that Miss Philippine is the only one who does not need an interpreter and that alone showed that we Filipino's are not only beautiful but also have brains. English as a second language is a feat already and answering a question without any hesitation shows that Filipino's can compete with other nationalities that use English as their primary language.<br />
<br />
So, let's all just be satisfied with the result! :)<div class="blogger-post-footer">http://www.adgitize.com/Advertisers.aspx?affid=9345</div>missyphoebehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07424536009118775925noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7937003288587607021.post-46561567108777925832011-09-12T23:19:00.000+08:002011-09-12T23:19:18.075+08:00Break a leg Shamcey!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH-J5G9n4UGqmmaTLdjDZeIubw0mXuUoFZGD96Cqkb4Z5IZwS4hWbkljzLHt31ZEFbxDC6-mJtZH8exvwPjy4MXSB_ZEF2YKtGhuLk-DcNagMr2cL_EE-NnXDjSH948cZjdZS7J1JVRKE/s1600/082211_shamcey.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH-J5G9n4UGqmmaTLdjDZeIubw0mXuUoFZGD96Cqkb4Z5IZwS4hWbkljzLHt31ZEFbxDC6-mJtZH8exvwPjy4MXSB_ZEF2YKtGhuLk-DcNagMr2cL_EE-NnXDjSH948cZjdZS7J1JVRKE/s320/082211_shamcey.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Just a few more hours and we'll be able to watch Miss Universe 2011. Of course, I would be rooting for Miss Philippines to win the crown! :)<div><br />

</div><div>Philippines have always been well represented and it sure bring such pride when you watch our own contestant strutting and answering questions with wit. What a major major goal for our country if we win the crown this year.</div><div><br />
</div><div>But what does it really mean for us if we do win? why watch it? we won't get anything from it or get paid. What really made me watch this pageant are:</div><div><br />
</div><div>1. cheer for our own</div><div>2. love to know/watch Q and A</div><div>3. I heard Lea Salonga is one of the Judges and I love her! I'm a fan!</div><div><br />
</div><div>but above all else just watch it.. and feel our Filipino Pride :) Let's just support our own. If we win then it would bring an honor for our country, it would boost our tourism and it would make people more curious in our country. And if we don't win it, it's ok! Having our own contestant there is enough and it's an honor already for being one of the contestant. </div><div><br />
</div><div>To Miss Shamcey Supsup, Good luck! Hope you win tomorrow! :)</div><div><br />
