The color of her gown, ruby, symbolizes her 40 years of marriage with former Interior Undersecretary Narciso "Jun" Santiago. She said in an interview that she feels like a blushing bride although she have, of course, to rectify the record by saying that I'm a veteran wife! hahaha she really makes me laugh! I never ever regret voting for her. She really stands by what she believes in :)
The wedding was attended by prominent figures in politics and business. President Benigno Aquino III (Best Man), Heart Evangelista (Maid of Honor), former President Joseph Estrada (Principal Sponsor), former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (Principal Sponsor), Chief Justice Renato Corona (Principal Sponsor), former first lady Imelda Marcos (Principal Sponsor), GMA CEO Felipe Gozon (Principal Sponsor), Vice President Jejomar Binay, Mar Roxas with Korina Sanchez, Manny Pangilinan, Senator Manny Villar and his wife, Eduardo Danding Cojuangco Jr. and Dr. Emilio Yap.
Santiago, said she was very happy that many people attended despite the rainy weather.
"I'm very, very glad. They are accomplished men and women, so even with the bad weather or best weather, they have come because they have committed to come," she told reporters shortly before the wedding ceremony.
