Yahoo! Long weekend holiday on Aug!

MANILA – MalacaƱang is set to declare August 30 a non-working holiday for the observance of Eid ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the Palace said Saturday.

August 1, the start of the Ramadan, however, will not be declared a holiday, Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said over government-run dzRB radio.

August 30 falls on a Tuesday and August 29 (Monday) is the celebration of the National Heroes’ Day, also a non-working holiday.

Yay! ^_^

Hate new FB chat version

I am really starting to hate FB new chat app. Here's the reason's why:

1. tried to vid chat. But it ain't working
2. I am online most of the time on the FB chat and I can't seems to make it offline like I used to on the older version of it.
3. Since I am always online I can't hide my stat and while I am browsing ( checking messages, new stat's of friends, newly photo's uploaded by family members) someone would just popped in and chat with me which I don't have the time to chat and then my time would be on FB again for a long time.

Am I the only one who hates it? I really really hope they divert it back to the older version. If it ain't broken don't fix it. :(

did you feel the earth moved?

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck Luzon on Tuesday at 1:15 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Service (USGS).

The earthquake epicenter was 102 km West-Northwest of Metro Manila; 24 km Northwest of Olongapo City; 54 km West-Southwest of Angeles City in Pampanga; and 108 km West-Southwest of Cabanatuan City.

It struck at a depth of 61.3 km, and was felt in surrounding areas like Cainta and San Mateo towns in Rizal.

People have tweeted that the earthquake lasted for as little as 10 seconds to as long as 30 seconds, causing tall buildings to shake. — MRT, GMA News

---------------------------

The quaked caught me off guard because it was totally unexpected and I prayed that it would be over soon and hoped there won't be an aftermath after that. I did not went back to sleep after the earthquake and waited for an hour before I can sleep.

I know, I was being paranoid but after what happened in Japan, it made me really uneasy that we should always expect the unexpected. Maybe it's a wake up call for us that we should take care of the earth more. We're not being a good steward of tour homelands :(

Th earth is changing.. can't you feel it? The sudden change of the weather and can't you feel the scourging heat from the sun is getting hotter? And on top of that there are some "seers" claiming to predict the end of the world. The earth is deteriorating, and we have crazy people out there and all we care about is money.

I think the most important thing that we should care about is to be a good children to our Father, taking care of the earth and just be a true human being. :)

What would be PNOY's SONA?

A few more days and we'll be able to hear PNOY's second SONA. It was already announced that classes on all levels in public and private schools in QC will be suspended. [why only in QC??? :( ]

He's been on his post for a year now and he could only do much on such a short time, but then again he did promise us a change in his administration. here's a list that I think he did something, besides him going on dates ;)

1. corruption - we now knew that a lot of corruption is (was?) going on in the AFP and PCSO which on my part is not that surprising (who wouldn't be tempted to do an anomaly if there's a lot of money in front of you and you knew that the top brass on the system is also brewing something? it's all like an anecdote of, " Everybody is doing it. So, join na ko!"). But honestly after watching the live telecast on ANC of the blue ribbon committee with the Ligot's I stop watching it because it just made me mad that they had the guts to do it and lie even if they are caught already. So, I am not that updated with the PCSO scam now.

2. Spartly's island - the past admin did not put much attention on this dispute with whose country really has the rights of it. I know we are not that armed to fight against China with this dispute but I'd really hope that both leaders (PHI and China) would be able to have a conversation on this issue.

3. Giving houses to the Police - I have an uncle who is a police and a friend and it's a really hard job. My uncle loved his job and would be on his post for 24/7 (and it's one of the thankless job that you have) I am glad that our president have also seen the plight of our AFP's

4. And I am glad where he stood by on the RH Bill. I thought he'll just stay quiet about his stand since he would be opposed to the church views on this issue. When he took a stand on this I was relieved that he showed that he won't be swayed by the church decisions on this issue.

But on July 25, on his SONA I hope that he would be able to address issues on projects that would be an answer for unemployment's and other programs that would help our farmers. And I hope that he should refrain from blaming PGMA's past admin mistakes (we all know now the mistakes she made, the corruption and all so we don't need it to hear it from you all over again).

How about you? what would you like to hear from him?

Bieber and Gomez crashed a wedding

(CBS) A couple celebrating its wedding on the beach in Malibu, Calif., got an unexpected surprise when Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez reportedly crashed their reception.

TMZ reports that Bieber and Gomez were strolling on the beach when they heard Bieber's hit "One Less Lonely Girl" coming from Rob and Jeanine McCool's wedding reception.

Sources told the website that Bieber snuck up on the guests and then took the microphone, saying, "We just crashed it. We heard a party so we decided to just come. So let's party."

The couple reportedly only stayed for 10 minutes to pose for photos - including some with the happy couple - before heading out.

"WEDDING CRASHERS last night! hahaha. too funny. crazy story," Bieber tweeted on Sunday.

>> who plays Bieber's Music on their wedding day??? so weird! haha. but to each his own heh? They must be really a fan of biebs :)

>>>some peeps we're irked that it only shows that he does not have any manners at all for crashing a wedding. The spotlight should have been on the bride and groom.  But it's their wedding and if they didn't mind having some celebrity wedding crashers then we really have no say on the matter.

>>> I'm not really surprised that he did it. must just be a whim to do that and all in all they all have some fun.

so, cheers! I just hope that the next time you have a concert here in the PHI just show some manners and maybe just maybe i'll learn to like you biebs :)

Amanda Coling: asks for an apology?

Amanda Coling the alleged rape victim of four of the members of AZKALS is open to accepting apologies. From whom and for what is the question everyone is asking.

Her lawyer, Atty Apollo Sangalang, has posted in his FB page what is purportedly Coling's side of the story.

The statement specifically says that something happened on June 2. What it was, we don't know yet . But by June 6, a newspaper reporter was already calling her about a supposed "gang rape video" involving her and the Azkals. After remaining silent, her name was exposed without her consent by media people as the victim of the Azkals rape rumor.

From that point, things started unraveling for Coling, leading up to her removal from last week's fashion event.

My personal take is this:

1. Something happened on June 2

2. If she went to a women's militant group and a public attorney and asked counsel from them but she STILL kept mum from what really happened is not clear to me. It left me really thinking if she's thinking straight? If she really went to them then she would have been supported by them to file a case against her rapist.

3. on the statement, she called celebrity friends on what happened on that said day, June 2, but if they were really friend they would have told her to have a medico-legal if she was really raped and go with her to the hospital and then file a case against her abusers.

4. If she is really a rape victim one would not just ask for an apology.

5. she should have just kept quiet of the whole incident if nothing really happened that day. She's just digging her own grave and her going out, giving interviews and showing her face to the public only made the citizen wonder if she's really sane or what? an apology for being raped? WTF

For me, I am not a fan of Azkals but because of this scandal, their image have been stained. with all the confusions this controversy have made I hope that both sides would be able to settle this quietly.

My heart goes to this girl's family. What humiliation they must have suffered with this.

whatever the outcome this issues had done to both sides, I hope they will be able to fix this. and we all know that in the end the truth will prevail.

IT ALL ENDS

After a few months of waiting we can finally watch the Finale of Harry Potter. I've read all books and been a fan after reading the first book! It's all thanks to our eldest since she bought the book for our youngest sibling and was told that the book is okay. I was hesitant because I thought it would be for kids and would not cater for young adults and boy was I wrong! After  reading the first chapter I did not put down the book until I finished the book and after that I along with the whole world that got hooked with the stories wait for each of the series to be released and it was also good that the book was incorporated in the movies.

Now, it's really the end of it. The Finale would be shown :( it just hit me that the story is really the end. I was hoping that J.K Rowling would write another story or a follow up story for Albus Potter. What do you think?

I was not that satisfied with the 6th and 7th books so I read some fan fiction and got to like some of the stories there. People have really a great imagination and wrote things that are at par with the author.

Okay, everyone. This is it. The video below, hosted by David Barron, producer of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, is of the final moments of the final day of shooting. You’re about to watch the whole thing end, and we are all going to cry. The footage doesn’t reveal anything about the movie or the story, so no spoilers. But it is a very emotional moment for the cast, crew, and pretty much anyone who watches this video. You’ve been warned!

These kids practically have grown on the set so they must be a big family and saying goodbye is the hardest. I almost BAWLED while watching these videos :( It's finally over >_<

With a great respect for the author and being a fan I simply have to watch the Finale ^_^
